The OPTIMAT system manages the flow of raw materials through the melting shop from purchasing through full real-time inventory control, calculation of the optimal initial charge, charge weighing and into melting. The system is underpinned by a comprehensive technical specifications database encompassing chemical and manufacturing requirements.
Experience over the years has shown that the use of OPTIMAT leads to improved consistency of composition control in finished products. Fewer casts are lost for being out of specification and fewer customer concessions are sought. OPTIMAT provides full materials traceability.
